Last month, the Vatican has dedicated this month of May to Global Rosary ‘Marathon’ for end of Covid-19. So on May 1st, “Pope Francis prayed a rosary Saturday for an end to the coronavirus pandemic, imploring the Virgin Mary to intercede for healing for the sick, comfort for the grieving, and hope for the future.” Source
First and foremost, the Bible plainly states in 1 Timothy 2:5 that “there is one God, and one mediator (intercessor – Strong’s G3319) between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” In fact, Jesus says “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” John 14:6 NOT the Virgin Mary.
Second, “our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope” (1 Timothy 1:1) is also “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1) NOT the Virgin Mary.
Third, the praying of rosary is an example of “vain repetitions as the heathen do” in Matthew 6:7. The “heathen” in greek is ethnikos which means “of the nature of pagans, alien to the worship of the true God“. Hence, it’s not only vain or worthless but also oppose to the teachings of the Bible.
Fourth, the Virgin Mary whom the Pope was imploring with to intercede is NOT the Mary who has pointed the people to Jesus instead of herself (John 2:5) BUT is actually the “queen of heaven” mentioned in Jeremiah 7:18 that says “The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.” The Pope is claiming that Mary is now in heaven when there is not a single verse in the Bible to back that up but Mary is now in the grave awaiting her Saviour (Luke 1:47).
Lastly, praying the rosary is actually an act of consecrating to the Queen of Heaven, where you pledge yourself to obey the Pope and received the mark of his authority – SUNday! Notice what it says, “We bind ourselves to profess courageously and at all times the truths of our Holy Catholic Faith, and to live as Catholics in full submission to all the instructions of the Pope and the Bishops in communion with him. We pledge ourselves to keep the Commandments of God and of the Church, especially to keep holy the Sunday.” – Novena to Our Lady of Fatima, Page 19-20
Let us awake and arise and not be deceived! Our only hope for the future is the LORD (Joel 3:16) NOT the Virgin Mary.
