Pope Francis spoke about old age and the expectation of death at his general audience Wednesday. Reflecting on the Virgin Mary’s bodily Assumption into heaven, he recalled the hope Christians have in the resurrection of their own body at the end of time. “We recently celebrated the Assumption into heaven of the Mother of Jesus. This mystery illuminates the fulfillment of the grace that shaped Mary’s destiny, and it also illuminates our destination,” he said at the Vatican on Aug. 24. “Our destination is heaven.” – Source.
There is NO evidence in the Scriptures that Mary did not die like a normal person and that she bodily taken up into heaven. In fact, Mary needed a Saviour just like you and I. She said in Luke 1:47, “And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” Moreover, she was humble and obedient by calling herself “the handmaid of the Lord. Luke 1:38 said, “And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”
It was the Pope who officially gave Mary the title “Queen of Heaven” and all popes woship the pagan queen of heaven.
“Among all the women who have ever lived, the mother of Jesus Christ is the most celebrated, the most venerated…Among Roman Catholics, the Madonna is recognized not only as the Mother of God, but also, according to modern Popes, as the Queen of the Universe, Queen of Heaven, Seat of Wisdom, and even the Spouse of the Holy Spirit.” -Time Magazine, “Handmaid or Feminist?”, December 30, 1991, p. 62-66
Notice that the act of consecration to Mary, pagan queen of heaven is to keep the commandment of the Roman church especially to keep holy the SUNday. “We bind ourselves to profess courageously and at all times the truths of our Holy Catholic Faith, and to live as Catholics in full submission to all the instructions of the Pope and the Bishops in communion with him. We pledge ourselves to keep the Commandments of God and of the Church, especially to keep holy the Sunday. ” – Novena to Our Lady of Fatima, Page 19-20
The truth is, we don’t go to Heaven directly at death. King David is “both dead and buried and his sepulchre is with us unto this day… For David is not ascended into the heavens…” Acts 2:29, 34. The Bible teaches that men including the Biblical Mary and King David will receive their reward at the second coming, and not at death according to Revelation 22:11,12; Matthew 16:27.
Every soul has a heaven to win and a hell to shun!
“If you lose heaven, you lose everything; if you gain heaven, you gain everything. Do not make a mistake in this matter, I implore you.” 2T 88
