Pope: We do not learn things from Jesus

On February 3, 2024, the Vatican News reported that “Pope Francis meets with Spanish seminarians from Madrid, and encourages men preparing for the priesthood to draw their inspiration from Christ in prayer.” But notice what the pope’s remarks to the seminarians when he said, “From Jesus we do not learn things. We welcome Him; we cling to Him, to be able to bring Him to others.”

For obedient Bible students, this statement plainly contradicts what we learn in the Bible. Jesus said in Matthew 11:

  • Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

As true followers of Jesus, we may learn many things from His example as well as His doctrine. Yes, Jesus has given us a perfect example of how we should walk even as he walked.

  • John 13:15 “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”
  • 1 Peter 2:21 “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:”
  • 1 John 2:6 “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

According to Daniel, this “beast” will “speak great words against the Most High” – Daniel 7:25. Below are some Catholic church’s statements hating the Bible:

  • “The Bible was not intended to be a textbook of Christian religion.” -Catholic Facts, p. 50
  • “The Bible does not pretend to be a formulary of belief, as in a creed or catechism. There is nowhere in the New Testament a clear, methodical statement of the teaching of Christ” -Question Box, p. 66
  • “The simple fact is that the Bible, like all dead letters, calls for a living interpreter.” –The Faith of Millions, p. 155

There is a need to separate from this “mother of harlot” church and heed God’s final call of mercy to my beloved Catholic friends before it is too late.
