The world is facing a growing crisis — one that is not caused by disease, but by energy.
With rising tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States, oil supply routes are under threat. At the center of this unfolding situation is one critical chokepoint: the Strait of Hormuz. This narrow passage carries nearly 20% of the world’s oil supply, making it one of the most important arteries of the global economy. Fuel prices are rising. Supply chains are tightening. And everyday life–from transportation to food production–is being affected.
Now, with the war escalating, that artery is being squeezed.
- Oil prices have surged beyond $115 per parrel, rising dramatically in just weeks.
- Supply disruptions are being described as one of the worst in history.
- Everyday people are already feeling the effects-fuel costs, food prices, and basic living expenses are climbing rapidly.
This is not just a market fluctuation. It is a systemic shock.
Some are beginning to call this a “fuel pandemic” or “Energy Lockdown.”
But what does the Bible say?
When Oil and Food Are Under Pressure
Revelation 6:5-6 declares:
“A measure of wheat for a penny… and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
This verse reveals a time when:
- Food becomes scarce and expensive
- Essential resources like oil are controlled
Today, oil is not just symbolic–it powers the entire world. When fuel is disrupted, food production, transportation, and economies are all affected.
From Crisis to Control
As shortages increase, governments gain increased control over:
- Who can travel
- How much fuel can be used
- Which industries remain open
- How resources are distributed
We saw similar patterns during global Covid-19 lockdowns–but this time, the trigger is not health. It is energy.
This leads us directly to a solemn prophecy:
Revelation 13:17 says, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark…”
The Bible warns of a time when economic activity will be controlled, and access to buying and selling will be restricted.
Could a global energy crisis help prepare the world for such a system?
Global Trade and Collapse
Revelation 18:11-13 describes a final system where merchants trade in goods like:
“oil, and fine flour, and wheat…”
But it also says this system will collapse suddenly.
Today’s interconnected global economy–dependent on energy–shows how quickly disruption in oil can ripple into food shortages, inflation, and economic instability.
A Warning for Our Time
The emerging “fuel pandemic” reveals something deeper:
- The world system is fragile
- Basic necessities can become controlled
- Crisis can lead to restriction
The Bible has already warned us that a time is coming when buying and selling will be regulated, and faith will be tested under pressure.
In conclusion
We are not yet in the final moment–but the conditions are forming.
Energy shortages, economic instability, and increasing control are not random events.
They are early signals of a prophetic reality described long ago.
The question is not just about fuel.
The question is:
Are we prepared for a time when access to daily life may be restricted–and only faith in God will sustain us? Are you sure?!
Truth is truth!
