Generate new models of economic progress, Pope urges business leaders

.- Economic worldviews based only on material well-being cannot contribute to dignified labor and new models of economic progress are needed, Pope Francis told a gathering of business experts on Friday.

“An economic vision geared to profit and material well-being alone is – as experience is daily showing us – incapable of contributing in a positive way to a globalization that favours the integral development of the world’s peoples, a just distribution of the earth’s resources, the guarantee of dignified labour and the encouragement of private initiative and local enterprise,” Pope Francis said May 13 to the members of the Centesimus Annus pro Pontifice Foundation.  Source

Biden, Boehner stress common good at Notre Dame

7c3e0dd7d15541e787122d7288dfbd2fAs they had when Pope Francis addressed Congress last fall, Vice President Joe Biden and former House Speaker John Boehner stood together again on May 15, this time at Notre Dame’s Commencement to receive the Laetare Medal, the university’s highest honor.

The decision to honor the two political leaders had drawn criticism, especially because of the Vice President’s support for abortion rights and same-sex marriage, but the citation read before they received the honor noted they were being recognized for their public service and work for the common good.  Source

This is the ultimate out and out farce, but thanks to the controlled media, most have no clue as to what’s actually happening here. This man represents all that is wrong and all that is evil in this world. Worse yet, he represents just how evil mankind can become. What I mean by that is, he is a bloodthirsty Roman Catholic Jesuit priest standing in the most powerful political office on the planet. His office represents the most gruesome and torturous murders of hundreds of millions of Christians during the Vatican inquisitions during the prophesied 1260 years from 538AD to 1798AD just as the prophet Daniel and then the apostle and prophet John declared. And to this day the Vatican is still killing Christians to the tune of 1 martyred every 2 minutes on this planet under the long expected disguise of Islam and still, billions of people (as expected) think this man of sin is holy and the reason for peace on earth? Worse yet, he is now declared as the “conscience of Europe” no less!  Source

The ‘Quiet Revolution’ of Pope Francis

Italy Gay RightsIn his new exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, Pope Francis reaffirms the teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, stating, “every sign of unjust discrimination is to be carefully avoided.“ Yet, such teachings don’t seem to be applied consistently throughout the Catholic Church…

It should be noted that while a Cardinal in Argentina in 2010, Pope Francis privately signaled openness to civil unions for LGBT couples as a compromise to legalizing same-sex marriage. It was said that Francis held this stance because he thought Argentina wasn’t ready for a same-sex marriage law.

In Amoris Laetitia, Pope Francis states, “It can no longer simply be said that all those in any “irregular” situation are living in a state of mortal sin and are deprived of sanctifying grace.”  Source

Pope Dropped Christian Refugees, Takes in ONLY MUSLIMS

isis-pope2Christians are being annihilated — wiped from the face of the earth in Syria. Christians are becoming extinct everywhere in the Middle East except Israel. The Pope has abandoned his people.

The Pope imports the oppressors not the victims – his own people.

Pope Francis tells Europe, ‘I Have a Dream’

7ccfb754fe4e440cb9bbb0fdd6a2b3fdROME—On August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered a speech that became a defining moment in the American Civil Rights movement, laying out his dream for a racially reconciled nation.

On Friday, Pope Francis delivered his own “I have a dream” address, in this case dedicated to Europe, calling the continent to undergo a “memory transfusion” to avoid the mistakes of the past and to pursue a future based on economic justice, openness to newcomers, respect for life in all its stages, and dialogue with everyone.

“I dream of a Europe that is young, still capable of being a mother: a mother who has life because she respects life and offers hope for life,” Francis said on Friday, as he was accepting the prestigious Charlemagne Prize, given yearly to personalities or institutions for their efforts towards European unity.  Source

A pope who shuns awards set for a big one on Friday

a0ccb9afe79cc48b853c8a0fda7e4be8-717x450ROME — Not that Pope Francis probably needs additional accolades, but on Friday he’s set to receive a big one anyway: The prestigious Charlemagne Prize, awarded each year to individuals or institutions for their service to European unification.

Technically, he’ll become the first pontiff to receive the award since it was created in 1950. In 2004 Pope John Paul II received an “extraordinary” edition of the prize, the only one given so far, but the actual award that year went to Irish politician Patrick Cox.

St. John Paul, and now Francis, are the only religious leaders to have received the recognition, even though its origins include a Christian element.  Source

Group of teenagers get opportunity to confess sins to Pope Francis

Sixteen teenagers have gotten an unexpected opportunity to confess sins to Pope Francis.

The pontiff made a surprise appearance late Saturday morning in St. Peter’s Square, where thousands of Catholics faithful, ranging in age from 13 to 16, were participating in a special Holy Year youth day, including confession near the famed Colonnade of Bernini.

Francis and each of the 16 teenagers sat face-to-face in simple chairs set up in pairs for him and many others hearing confessions in the square. The teenagers seemed at ease, with Francis shaking hands warmly with the youths. In all, the pope spent more than an hour in the square.

He has dedicated the Holy Year to two central themes of his papacy: mercy and reconciliation. Source
