Signs All Around Us: Floods, Earthquakes, and War – Christ Is At the Door

These aren’t just headlines; they’re reminders that we live in turbulent times. They are divine warnings to awaken us to the reality of eternity.

A Prophetic Pattern

In Matthew 24:6-8, Jesus plainly said:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

From the increasing natural disasters to international conflict, the prophetic Word is being fulfilled in real time. We are witnessing Jesus’ prophecy unfold before our very eyes.

The Earth Groans, Nations Rage

These crises expose how fragile life on earth truly is:

  • Floodwaters in Texas show us that in a moment, normal life can be swept away.
  • The quake in Japan reminds us that the earth itself is unstable, groaning for deliverance (Romans 8:22).
  • War between Iran and Israel could ignite a global crisis—and Bible foretells the unrest of nations and perplexity (Luke 21:25).

Pray collectively for Texas, Japan, Israel and Iran families and communities worldwide facing disaster.

A Call to Be Ready — Daily

No man knows the day or hour of Christ’s return (Matthew 24:36), but He gave us signs so we would not be caught unaware. We must not live in fear—but in faithful readiness.

✅ Pray daily (3x minimum) like never before
✅ Live righteously in Christ
✅ Repent daily, Keep sin out of your life, and seek the Lord’s mercy
✅ Warn others in love and urgency
✅ Store God’s Word in your heart.

Trust in God’s Protection

“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night… nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” — Psalm 91:5–6

God does not promise a life free from tribulation, but He does promise His presence and eternal life to the faithful and obedient to His law. While the world fears collapse, the Christian clings to the Cross… No cross, no crown!

We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we do know who holds tomorrow.

  • Are we preparing our families and children for eternity?
  • Are we spreading the present truth in a world drowning in deception?
  • Are we trusting in God or earthly comforts?

This is not the hour of compromise. This is the time for revival and reformation, obedience, and holy urgency.

“Let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:6

Let us live each day as if it were our last. Because one day–it will be.
