On the night of September 30, 2025, the central Philippines was shaken by a devastating 6.9-magnitude earthquake unleashing destruction across the region. As of this writing, at least 72 lives have been lost, hundred injured, and entire communities displace. Homes collapsed. Churches crumbled. Children cried in the streets. The earth groaned, and we must ask: What is God saying?
A Prophetic Moment
The Bible reminds us that creation itself is not silent. Romans 8:22 declares “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” Earthquakes, storms, and disasters are not random, they are signs. Not just geological tremors, but spiritual ones.
This quake, coming on the heels of back-to-back typhoons and amid a season of unrest, feels like more than a natural disaster. It feels like a divine interruption. A trumpet blast in the night. A call to repentance.
Jesus said in Luke 21:11, “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” These signs are not meant to terrify, they are meant to awaken.
Repentance Is Urgent
The loss of life in surrounding towns is heartbreaking. But even more tragic would be to ignore the spiritual message embedded in the rubble.
This is not the time to debate fault lines. It is the time to examine our own.
Are we living in obedience to God? Have we turned away from His Word? Are our churches proclaiming the present truth of the Three Angels’ Message or entertaining crowds? Are we ready for the return of Jesus?
The Philippines, like every nation, is being called to repentance. Not just from corruption or immorality, but from spiritual apathy. From lukewarm faith. From the illusion that tomorrow is guaranteed.
Hope in the Midst of Tragedy
Even in tragedy, God offers mercy. The shaking of the earth is also the shaking of hearts. And in that shaking, there is grace.
Isaiah 55:6 urges, “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.” The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. He is near to those who cry out in the rubble. He is near to those who repent.
Let this earthquake be a turning point. Let it be the moment we stop chasing comfort and start pursuing Christ. Let it be the hour we prepare, not just for rebuilding, but for His return.
Jesus is Coming Soon
Yes, the natural disasters are here to herald the arrival of Jesus Christ. The pope invented climate change to hide that truth and create a reason to enforce his coming mark – the Sunday Law Enforcement.
The signs are multiplying. The warnings are intensifying. The time is short.
This earthquake is not just a geological event, it is a spiritual alarm. A voice crying out: “Prepare the way of the Lord!“
Let us heed it. Let us repent. Our book of records are now being reviewed in heaven. Let us be found faithful when He comes.
Truth is truth!
