In recent weeks, the Philippines has been shaken—literally—by a series of powerful earthquakes. A wake-up call from Heaven!
- September 30, Cebu: A magnitude 6.9 quake struck offshore near Bogo City, claiming dozens of lives and causing widespread damage.
- October 9, Baguio: A magnitude 4.8 tremor jolted Northern Luzon, rattling nerves and reminding residents of the region’s seismic vulnerability.
- October 10, Davao Oriental: A massive magnitude 7.4 quake triggered tsunami warnings and landslides, leaving communities reeling.
These are not isolated events. They echo the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:7–8:
“There shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Earthquakes are part of the prophetic signposts pointing to the soon return of Christ. They shake not only the ground beneath us but also the illusion of earthly security. Each tremor is a trumpet call to awaken, repent, and prepare.
What Should We Do?
- Examine your heart. Are you living in surrender to Christ?
- Share the message. Warn others with love and urgency.
- Stay spiritually alert. Don’t let comfort lull you into complacency.
The earth groans, the signs multiply, and the time is short. Let these earthquakes stir us—not to fear, but to faith. Jesus is coming soon. Let’s be ready.
