When Bible Truth is Treated as a Crime

A Christian pastor was arrested in Canada not too long ago. Reports say it was because he wouldn’t write an apology that the court ordered. He was asked to apologize because he spoke against a “drag-queen story hour” at a public library.

This is another reminder of how Christians who openly stand on biblical truths are facing more and more persecution. His opposition to public events that support homosexual practices identified as sin (Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11) led to legal pressure and eventually to his arrest. Whether you agree with him or not, the message is clear: expressing Bible Truths now has real consequences.

As prophesied, those who remain faithful will face opposition: “All who will lively godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12).

As society increasingly rejects biblical morality, religious freedom, once considered untouchable, is being taken away. Very soon, our obedience to God’s commandment in opposition to man’s law will be misunderstood as a crime, an act of rebellion. Our faith will be tested to the fullest, and when the pressure to conform escalates, it will lead to the final crisis involving the enforcement of the mark of the beast.

So let us remain firm. Let us speak truth in love. Let us hold fast to the Word, even if the heavens fall!

Truth is truth!
