Netanyahu tells Israeli students: Study the Bible

But, in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with 200 students, along with Education Minister Naftali Bennett, and urged them to be serious about Bible study – in the public schools.

Reminiscing about his school days, Netanyahu told the students to learn and “be good children.” In his speech, he emphasized coexistence and, at the same time, the importance of learning Jewish history.  Continue reading →

SUNDAY LAW: The one commandment that almost all Christians break, and why it matters

10-commandmentsIt had been a very busy time. I’d already been in Israel and Palestine for a month or so. In between volunteer shifts (I was there with the World Council of Churches) I had been taking every opportunity to meet people and see the sights.

Although there is a wonder about that place, there’s also a sadness. For every inspiring historical site, there’s another contemporary situation that breaks your heart.

So it was in a state of some tiredness that I came woke early in my apartment near Ramallah in Palestine, headed through the misery of the Qalandiya checkpoint and up into the north of Israel.

I was to be staying for the weekend at a Kibbutz near Nazareth. This was an unusual enough experience in itself but I was also going to be there throughout Sabbath, staying with an observant family.   Continue reading →

‘Prophet’ Brings Dead Woman Back Through Facebook

rndr_670x377David E. Taylor, a self-proclaimed “prophet,” asserted on Aug. 25 that he brought a dead woman back to life through a message on Facebook.

“Raised from the Dead!” Taylor posted on his Joshua Media Ministries International Facebook page. “David E. Taylor Commands Her to Live Through Sending a Text Message Through Facebook – Releasing the Supernatural Resurrection Power of God! She Lives!”

To support his extraordinary declaration, Taylor included a picture of an elderly woman in a hospital bed and a “message from her daughter” that stated: “Thank you sooo much Dad (Apostle Taylor), the doctors were sooo amazed for my Mom’s speedy recovery. She was dead for 40 minutes but God resurrected her !!!”   Continue reading →

Church demolitions in Cuba on the rise

Cuba (MNN) — Over the last few years, United States and Cuban relations have improved — to an extent. But it turns out what we see in the United States isn’t the whole picture.

Patrick Klein of Vision Beyond Borders says while there’s an outside perception of growing freedom, there is actually growing religious persecution in Cuba.

“We’re given the impression by the media in America, the mainstream media, that Cuba’s opening up, and with the relationship with America that things are better.”

After the United States reopened the U.S. Embassy in Cuba about a year ago, John Kerry said the United States would keep pushing for democracy in Cuba.

Klein says this comment was not well received. The Cuban government has no intentions of leaving communism. With mounted pressure, Klein says they looked for someone to blame.

Confirmed: The Arch of Triumph Is Going Up in New York City on September 19

Triumphal-Arch-PalmyraDo you remember all of the buzz about the arch from the Temple of Baal that was supposed to go up in Times Square back in April? Well, that project was ultimately canceled, but now it has been resurrected in a new form. In April a reproduction of a different arch, the Arch of Triumph, was erected in Trafalgar Square in London, and now another reproduction of that famous arch will be going up in New York City on September 19. This particular arch is not the same one that once stood directly in front of the Temple of Baal in Syria. Rather, the Arch of Triumph was constructed at a later date by the Romans, and it served to link the main street of the Colonnade with the Temple. So there is still definitely a connection with the Temple of Baal, but it is not as direct as had originally been envisioned.   Continue reading →

Coca-Cola Has Always Had A Connection To The Cocaine Business

When news broke yesterday about the discovery of$56 million worth of cocaine at a Coca-Cola plant in France, the press was all abuzz. But as it turns out, this Cocaine-Cola connection is not entirely new; Coca-Cola has been intimately linked to domestic manufacture of cocaine in the United States for years.

Brisbane courts: Woman pleads guilty to bestiality

woman-bestialityA WOMAN has pleaded guilty to three charges of bestiality after police found videos of her having sex with a dog on her mobile phone while she was under investigation for drug trafficking.

Jenna Louise Driscoll entered the plea in the Brisbane District Court this morning.

She also pleaded guilty to drug trafficking, possession of drugs and possession of items used in the trafficking of drugs.

The videos were found on her phone in 2014.

She will be sentenced in November.

Bishop of Grantham first C of E bishop to declare he is in gay relationship

4368The bishop of Grantham has become the first Church of England bishop to publicly declare that he is gay and in a relationship. In a move that will be embraced by campaigners for equality but is likely to alarm conservatives who fear the church is moving away from traditional teachings, Nicholas Chamberlain said there had been no secret about his long-term – albeit celibate – relationship with his partner.

But a threat by a Sunday newspaper to reveal Chamberlain’s sexuality had pushed him to speak publicly. He acknowledged that the revelation would cause “ripples” within the church. “It was not my decision to make a big thing about coming out,” he told the Guardian in an exclusive interview. “People know I’m gay, but it’s not the first thing I’d say to anyone. Black Lives Matter: We Will Destroy the Nuclear Family

The Black Lives Matter movement has declared its opposition to the traditional biblical family.

On the “Guiding Principles” page of its website, the Black Lives Matter movement makes the stunning statement that it stands in opposition to the traditional—biblical—”nuclear family.”

Under the tab “Black Villages,” it makes the following statement:

We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, and especially “our” children to the degree that mothers, parents and children are comfortable. Islamic State names Pope as enemy number one

pope-francisIslamic State has singled out Pope Francis as its chief enemy.

The Middle East terror group describes the pope as a “non-believer” in its latest publication. IS condemns him for “defending” homosexuals who it says have an immoral lifestyle, the Express reports.

The terrorists also attack the pope for seeking dialogue with “moderate” Islam. Such moderate Muslims include Imam Ahmed al Tayeb, of Al Azhar university in Cairo, Egypt, who IS says is apostate for describing Christianity as a religion of love and peace.

Pope Francis has insisted the war on terror being waged across the world is not a religious war. He admitted however that the world was at war, when he spoke to journalists on the plane to Poland for World Youth Day, after Catholic priest Jacques Hamel had his throat slit by two IS followers in France.  Continue reading →
