Authorities in a village in Jharkhand, India told Christians to stop worshiping Jesus publicly or they would be fined and face other consequences.

Area Christian leaders were forced to sign an agreement that they would worship Jesus only inside their homes, and that if they are caught worshiping publicly, they would pay a fine of 10,000 rupees.

“We were forced to sign the bond, we have no other choice as we have nowhere else to stay except in the village,” Pastor Sanjay Kumar Ravi told Morning Star NewsContinue reading

US imported terrorism to Middle East, new Philippines president says

578180e5c3618805118b458cPhilippine President Rodrigo Duterte has accused the US of importing terror to the Middle East through its interventions, pointing to Iraq, Libya and Syria as examples.

Speaking at an event being held in honor of the holy Islamic day of Eid’l Fit’r in Davao City on Friday, the leader challenged the narrative that the Middle East is the root of terrorism. “It is not that the Middle East is exporting terrorism to America; America imported terrorism (to the Middle East),” he said. Study Reveals Americans are Going to Church for the Wrong Reasons

“Many unreligious Americans are willing to go to church, but not for the reasons you would think. …unchurched people are not attracted to church for the worship set or to learn more about God. Instead they are more willing to come to a church service or event if faith is not explicit. For example, 62 percent would attend a church meeting about neighborhood safety, community service event, 51 percent, sports or exercise program, 46 percent, concert, 45 percent, or an all-inclusive neighborhood event at a church, 45 percent. …Invite unchurched people to those kinds of events, and many say they will attend,” he concluded. However, only 35 percent are interested in attending a worship service, 25 percent would attend a recovery group, and only 24 percent would attend a special seminar on a spiritual topic.” –Source

Students of prophecy have been declaring this prophesied event about the modern day churches for many decades. It’s sad that some organizations have to do a demographic “study” first before opening their eyes to the obvious that was written long ago. I have all sorts of blog entries, sermons and even some videos outlining how the churches in America and around the world are unable to bring the people in using Jesus Christ and His Word because most people simply don’t want to hear it. They are more interested in their pastors participating in bare knuckle cage matches in the church as well as concerts, plays, beer nights and even tattoo nights in the churches. And who do you supposed they learned this from? Of course it was Satan himself prompting them to “tickle their ears” so as to ignore their hearts in the first place, but he used his favored man of sin in Rome to get the ball of confusion rolling.  Continue reading

AUDIO: Tongan bakeries banned from opening on Sundays

Bakers in Tonga are petitioning the King after the government decided to enforce a ban on selling bread on Sundays.

Church leaders pushed for the ban to be enforced under one of the country’s oldest laws, which forbids commercial undertakings on the Sabbath.

Authorities began enforcing it on Sunday July 3 and bakers worry about what this could mean for their business.

The Ha’amoko Bakery’s Kennedy Penitani says they were consulted in May about the ban, and had proposed opening their bakeries in the afternoon.  SOURCE

Among cheering crowds, four street preachers were arrested in the UK on Wednesday for causing a “disturbance” while exhorting men to “obey God and keep His commands.”

The incident occurred as local resident Mike Overd was open air preaching outside of the Bristol shopping center, while others engaged passersby in conversation and/or held gospel signs. Some of those joining Overd in the evangelism effort included American citizens visiting the country to share the gospel.   Continue reading

Those who travel to the mountain known as Sorte in central Venezuela are practitioners of a cult that is built on local indigenous traditions. Followers say its rituals heal pain and can even cure disease.   Continue reading

Megachurch Pastor Points to Who Jesus Would Pick for President

A megachurch pastor has two points he wants you to consider when you go into the voting booth in November to cast a ballot for who you believe should be the next president of the United States.

It’s what he believes Jesus would do.

Dave Ferguson, lead pastor of Community Christian Church in Naperville, Illinois, said if Jesus were an American, He would “choose with love” when deciding whom to support in the 2016 presidential election. It would be a choice that is a “clear reflection of His love for God, but also of His love for His neighbors.”   Continue reading
