EU bishops back Pillar of Social Rights, call for recognition of Sunday rest

travailleurs-d_tach_sThe Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) have renewed their support of the European Pillar of Social Rights, an EU document on labor, education, and other social issues.

In recent comments on the draft document, COMECE called for a recognition of Sunday rest.

“As in times of digitalization of the economy, the boundaries between private and work-life become increasingly blurred, COMECE proposes to incorporate decent working hours and the right to a common weekly day of rest,” the bishops’ commission stated. “This day should be in principal the Sunday, which is recognized by tradition and custom in most of the member states or regions.”   Continue reading

‘EU WANTS AN EMPIRE’ Brussels hope to expand its influence as far as ASIA and AFRICA

The latest EU foreign policy document, titled Global Strategy, calls for an extended reach into new spheres as distant as the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.

It also outlined “gradual synchronisation and mutual adaptation” between different member states’ individual defence strategies.

Ukip’s defence spokesman Mike Hookem said: “The EU wants its own Empire as former Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso made clear when he was in charge.

“This global strategy by the EU is yet another reason why last Thursday’s result was a lucky escape for the UK.”

The European Commission Wants You to Log into Social Media Accounts With Govt Issued ID Cards

The European Commission plans to attack citizens’ right to online privacy, insisting that state-issued ID cards should be used to log into platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and even Uber.

The Vice President for the Digital Single Market on the European Commission, former Communist Andrus Ansip, is behind the next European Union (EU) raid on personal freedoms, promoting the idea of using national ID cards to log in to online services.

Leaked documents from within the European Commission revealed a call for the roll out of a more extensive use of national ID cards across the EU. The documents have since beenuploaded to the Commission’s own website…

“Calling on us to log onto YouTube with national IDs etc shows a direction of travel which should worry anybody who believes in personal liberty,” said Ms. James, adding: “Voting Leave in this Brexit Referendum is our way to shout “Stop” and put an end to this madness.”
