From rape to disasters, climate change a threat to women – funders

CaptureCOPENHAGEN, May 20 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Carla Lopez remembers the first time she heard a suggestion that climate change was a factor leading to the rape of young girls.

“I was in Santa Maria Xalapan of Guatemala when a group of women said young girls were being kidnapped and raped because there was a water crisis. It was a revelation,” said the executive director of the Fondo Centroamericano de Mujeres, a women’s fund based in Central America.

In the indigenous Xinca society of Xalapan, men often kidnap and rape young girls before marrying them, Lopez said, and for about a decade, the local women’s group had been campaigning to end this trend.  Continue reading…

Largest Study of Online Tracking Proves Google Really Is Watching Us All

googlelogo_color_116x41dpIf you read or clicked anything online today, some part of Google probably knows about it.

That’s one lesson from the largest study yet of the technology that tracks people’s movements around the Web. When Princeton researchers logged the use of tracking code on the Internet’s million most popular websites, Google code was found on a majority of them.
Google Analytics, a product used to log visitors to websites that integrates with the company’s ad-targeting systems, was found on almost 70 percent of sites. DoubleClick, a dedicated ad-serving system from Google, was found on close to 50 percent of sites. The top five most common tracking tools were all Google-owned.  Continue reading…

God ‘eroded, eclipsed, liquidated’ in U.S., says cardinal

cardinal_robert_sarah“God is being eroded, eclipsed, liquidated … “in the name of ‘tolerance’” in the U.S., he said, citing “legalization of same-sex marriage, the obligation to accept contraception within health-care programs, and even ‘bathroom bills’ that allow men to use the women’s restrooms and locker rooms.” “Should not a biological man use the men’s restroom?” he asked. “How simpler can that concept be?” The cardinal shifted his focus from the social and political realm to the church itself, warning against subversion of its orthodoxy and “demonic ‘gender ideology’” that threatens to wound the family unit itself.” –Source

Amazing isn’t it? The very church that is being used by Satan to “erode, eclipse and liquidate” the United States of America by pushing their homosexual agenda in every aspect of society is now declaring someone else is causing all the problems we have in America? Can’t you just feel the love in his eyes? Seriously, doesn’t anyone have discernment anymore?  Continue reading…

The scientists looked at the cases of over 2,000 people and have established that thoughts continue on after their hearts stops beating.

They found that those who experienced some awareness, only two percent said their experience was consistent with the feeling of an outer body experience where an individual is completely aware and can hear and see what’s going on around them when their heart stops beating.  Continue reading…

Europe Polish troops will help secure Pope Francis’ youth meeting

Reformation celebrations will be ecumenical and international, says German Protestant leader

image_previewThe 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 should be a profoundly ecumenical, as well as European and international celebration, according to Bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, chair of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD).

“With this clear distinction from all other commemorations of past centuries, we are sending a signal of reconciliation and a new beginning,” Bedford-Strohm said at a 9 May press conference in Berlin announcing events leading up to the anniversary on 31 October 2017.

The commemoration marks the day in 1517 on which Martin Luther is said to have posted his 95 theses denouncing church abuses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg.  Continue reading…
