Two Sabbaths ago, the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church in Harlem opened its pulpit to Zohran Mamdani—a Muslim, a self-declared socialist, and the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City. Many Adventists who still believe to the biblical principle of separation between church and state are alarmed by his campaign-oriented appearance.
