Pope Francis says materialism and commerce have ‘taken Christmas hostage’

When the lights of commerce cast the light of God into the shadows; when we are concerned for gifts, but cold toward those who are marginalized. …The pope addressed children who are living in poverty and war, and also appeared to reference the Syrian refugee crisis that has created political upheaval in Europe.” –Source

Oh wow, where do I start? Perhaps Christmas eh? First and foremost, Chrismas is not a Christian holiday. It is an invention of the Popes of Rome so as to belittle the Gospel message of Christ through His Word by making the world appear more enticing than New Jerusalem.

GC of SDA joins hands with Pope to preach “another Jesus”

download“On Wednesday before the general audience Pope Francis received in audience the participants in the Conference of Secretaries of Christian World Communions, the international ecumenical association that meets annually in October, each year in a different country, to improve mutual awareness. The conference is made up of the Anglican Communion, the World Baptist Alliance, the Disciples Ecumenical Consultative Council, the Ecumenical Patriarchate (Eastern Orthodox), General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists, the International Old Catholic Bishops’ Conference, the World Lutheran Foundation, the Mennonite World Conference, the Moravian Church Worldwide Unity Board, the Patriarchate of Moscow (Eastern Orthodox), the Pentecostals, the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (Catholic Church), the Reformed Ecumenical Council, the Salvation Army, the Friends World Committee for Consultation (Quakers), the World Convention of Churches of Christ, the World Evangelical Alliance and the World Methodist Council. The actual headline to the article was a bit long and may have caused some that read this blog to ignore the content of the article. The title as released by the Vatican was “It’s Not My Jesus vs Your Jesus, But Our Jesus, Pope Says to Ecumenical Group.” Hence the title I posted is my way of making it a tad clearer as to what actually going on here. I know many SDA’s riding the fence read this blog and I know some of them have no clue about how their church leaders have joined with the Vatican in a big way. Scientist fired for refusing to sanction false data on global warming

smithlamar_090914gn_lead“The Obama administration withheld information from Congress and improperly fired an employee as part of a politically motivated push to end a Department of Energy (DOE) program, House Republicans say. A report Tuesday from the House Science Committee, based on an 11-month investigation, said the Obama administration wanted to shut down the DOE’s Low-Dose Radiation Research Program — which the committee has voted to save — in order to shift funds to President Obama’s climate change priorities. …The report released Monday goes even further, accusing the DOE of “a scheme to withhold information from congressional staff” to push Obama’s climate goals. …Thereafter, the DOE took punitive action against a scientist because she was unwilling to go along with the department’s inappropriate and unlawful advocacy scheme.” –Source

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. So many bogus agendas swirling around the White House now-a-days that when one comes into view that can jeopardize the most current and focused false agenda of the first beast in Rome, anyone threatening that agenda, and this includes those that have well documented evidence confirming the agenda false, they must be removed at all costs. Problem is, you can’t fire everyone, you can’t pay off everyone and you certainly can’t kill everyone that may eventually speak out against you. Top Italian Bishop: Islamist Attacks Have Nothing to Do With Religion

galantino-640x480“Despite appearances to the contrary, the murder of the Russian ambassador in Ankara and the Berlin massacre in a Christmas market have nothing to do with religion but are economically motivated, according to the secretary general of the Italian bishops’ conference. On Monday, a gunman shot the Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, at an art exhibition in Ankara, reportedly shouting “Allahu akbar” while he gunned him down. Later in the day, a Muslim Pakistani “refugee” drove a semi through a Christmas market in Berlin, killing 12 people and injuring many others. In an interview with the Italian daily, Corriere della Sera, Bishop Nunzio Galantino, said the Berlin and Ankara terrorist attacks were not motivated by religion but by money.”-Source

You know what’s really shocking about this Bishop’s incoherent statement? 1.2 billion Catholics will believe him. Why? It’s because Rome has built it into the structure of the dogma that the Popes and prelates are not just godly men, they have stated in writing they are “gods on earth!” The fact every political leader as well as every common man sitting in a Catholic pew bows before these men to kiss their feet or rings confirms they do worship them!   Continue reading →

New International Religious Freedom Act a first for atheists

(RNS) When President Obama signed a newly strengthened international religious freedom act Friday (Dec. 16), the intention was to protect religious believers around the world.

But the freshly signed act is being heralded by some legal scholars as a different milestone — for the first time, atheists and other nonreligious persons are explicitly named as a class protected by the law.

“The new law has some really interesting language in it,” said Caroline Mala Corbin, professor of law at the University of Miami. “It takes an expansive view of religious liberty, saying freedom of religion is not just about the right to practice religion. It is also about the right to have your own views about religion including being agnostic and atheistic.”   Continue reading →

VIDEO: US Embassy to move the Jerusalem?

jerusalem“Friday on CNN’s “New Day,” New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman criticized President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for U.S. ambassador to Israel David Friedman. Among the complaints Thomas Friedman had about the pick was David Friedman support of moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Such a gesture would upset many of the actors in the Middle East according to Thomas Friedman.” –Source

First of all I hate this when news reporters do this; but at least here we have somewhat of a confirmation of facts. What I mean is, notice how the reporter states right off in the video that the issue at hand has to do with “moving the Capital to Jerusalem.” They didn’t show previous comments and they certainly never repeated that statement throughout the clip. And then we see the comments that follow are all about moving the American Embassy to Jerusalem.   Continue reading →

Should Uncle Sam Mandate Church Attendance?

i-want-you1“A recent study has found that women who attended a religious service more than once per week had with a 33% lower risk of death compared with women who had never attended religious services. That’s huge.  According to Obamacare logic, we should seriously consider mandating that every American attend church every week. …But if forcing people to have coverage to save lives makes sense, then why not force them to go to church? Think about it: Obamacare forces every American to have health insurance and then tries to soften the blow of that mandate by heavily subsidizing coverage for those with the lowest incomes. In 2016, CBO estimates the federal government will spend $5,000 in subsidies for each uninsured person who gains coverage. Even if we believed the best-possible-case figures from the Massachusetts health reform–i.e., that expanded coverage reduced mortality risk by 30%– mandatory church attendance still would produce slightly greater mortality gains without requiring any taxpayer subsidies . In short, we could have all of the purported health benefits of Obamacare without incurring any of its costs!” –Source

Yes, the man writing the article is being quite sarcastic as well as having a little fun with the strange logic that runs through the political mind, but he does have a point here that most (himself included) my miss. First off it’s clear, the numbers don’t lie. So if they were to mandate church attendance as he jokingly suggests; and seeing how money rules the government AND the churches, it is a plausible outcome no matter how ridiculous it may seem to some. Pedophile dies after cathedral concert attack

Marcelo Fabian Pecollo, a music teacher and trumpeter with the Moron city orchestra, was sentenced in 2010 to 30 years in prison for molesting five preschool children. He was freed in 2014 after a sentence reduction.” –Source

Religion drives skepticism about evolution, but not climate change

feature-3(RNS) While rejection of evolution is strongly associated with Americans’ religiosity, the same is not true of climate change.

That’s the conclusion of a new study that sought to test popular assumptions about the link between religion and anti-science attitudes, and determine whether that link holds true for people’s views on both evolution and climate change.

The exception to this finding is evangelical Protestants.In a recent edition of the journal Environment and Behavior, Rice University sociologist Elaine Howard Ecklund and her colleagues write that while religious views drive Americans’ rejection of evolution, skepticism about climate change is more a function of political views and lack of confidence in the work of scientists.  Continue reading →

Saudi woman who faced death threats for removing hijab could get lashed instead

1481651208519A young woman who received death threats after going out without her full-body dress in Saudi Arabia now faces being lashed after she was arrested.

The woman, identified as Malak Al Shehri, shared a photograph of herself without a hijab or abaya – a traditional body covering – on a street in the capital city of Riyadh.
