Cardinal Zen: Pope Francis would ‘betray Christ’ by allowing Communist China to select bishops

cardinal_zen_810_500_55_s_c1 — The highest ranking Chinese Catholic has stated that if Pope Francis allows Communist China to have a hand in the selection of the nation’s Catholic bishops it would be “betraying Jesus Christ.”

“You cannot go into negotiations with the mentality ‘we want to sign an agreement at any cost,’ then you are surrendering yourself, you are betraying yourself, you are betraying Jesus Christ,” Cardinal Joseph Zen told The Guardian this week.

The 84-year-old former bishop of Hong Kong has firmly opposed a potential deal between the Vatican and the Chinese government that would add legitimacy to the state-run Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association. He says the move would alienate authentic Catholics who worship in the ‘underground Church’ from the one true Church headed by Christ and his representative, the Pope.  Continue reading

Thought crime: Germany To Prosecute Online ‘Hate Speech’

gettyimages-625252718“Germany’s record on free speech leaves a lot to be desired. Vacillating from one extreme to another, from simulcasting Nazi propaganda to criminalizing Holocaust-denial, it has long struggled to protect the civil liberty of free speech while quelling the tides of authoritarianism. In an attempt to control the recent uptick in xenophobia and racism, largely exacerbated by sudden demographic shifts linked to Berlin’s refugee-intake program, German authorities are now prosecuting arbitrarily-defined “hate speech,” otherwise known as free speech, with what appears to be de facto blasphemy laws. On Wednesday, Chancellor Angela Merkel backed a federal program to monitor and police internet activity on popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.  ” –Source

Why they claim they are just now passing the law is a joke. Why do I say that? Do recall this video I did back in December of 2015 wherein I show how YouTube blocked a video I made titled “Nazi’s pledge to obey Pope on Camera“? In that video I show pictures of the Nazi soldiers saluting the Pope using the same Vatican hand signal the Swiss Guards do as a show of respect and loyalty to the Pope and his Trinity doctrine. YouTube pulled the video in Germany and Israel to hide the truth that they feared would go viral regarding Rome’s obvious plans for Israel even today. And I don’t believe they only blocked in the nations listed in that email they sent me either as I got many emails from other countries no on the list saying they could not see the video either. Praise the Lord there is a way around viewing blocked videos. All one needs to do is use a proxy IP address. But they know most people don’t know how to do that. There is software that helps people do this that aren’t too techy. But it is rather easy to do without wasting money on such things. Click here to see what I mean.   Continue reading

Pope Francis Extends Priests’ Ability to Forgive Abortion

pope-listy-header-master495VATICAN CITY — The Roman Catholic Church will allow priests throughout the world to grant absolution for abortion, the Vatican said on Monday, making permanent a policy that Pope Francis announced a year ago.

In a document marking the conclusion of the church’s yearlong Jubilee of Mercy, the pope extended a policy of allowing priests — and not only bishops or special confessors — to grant forgiveness for abortion, which the church considers a sin. The announcement was a signal of the pope’s vision of a more welcoming, merciful and inclusive church.

While firmly restating his opposition to abortion as “a grave sin, since it puts an end to an innocent life,” the pope affirmed that “there is no sin that God’s mercy cannot reach and wipe away when it finds a repentant heart seeking to be reconciled with the Father.” The document, an apostolic letter, was signed on Sunday after a Mass denoting the end of the jubilee year. It was made public on Monday.   Continue reading

The Pope is using Islamic Terrorism to push Ecumenism?!

221677-popefrancis-02“When terrorists or world powers persecute Christian minorities or Christians”, he observed, “they do not ask: ‘Are you Lutheran? Are you Orthodox? Are you Catholic? Are you Reformed? Are you Pentecostal?’ No. ‘You are Christian’. They recognise one only: the Christian. The enemy is not wrong: he recognises where to find Jesus. And this is the ecumenism of blood. Nowadays we are witnesses to this, and I think of the Orthodox brethren beheaded on the beaches of Libya, for example: they are our brothers. They gave witness to Jesus and they died saying, ‘Jesus, help me!’. With His name: they confessed the name of Jesus.” “Therefore, ecumenism in prayer, ecumenism in our journey, and the enemy teaches us the ecumenism of blood.” –Source

The man of sin will stop at nothing to garner more souls into the Babylonian church. The craftiness of his speeches wherein he expertly twists the truth regarding the plight of Christians who die for their faith is appalling to say the least. He is using their deaths as an global call for ecumenicalism. But this shows his card a lot more graphically that even he can surmise.   Continue reading

Is the pope Catholic? Francis dismisses critics of his teachings

thumb-rns-pope-syriaVATICAN CITY (RNS) Pope Francis is firing back at foes of his efforts to make the Catholic Church more open and pastoral in its ministry, telling an interviewer that “they are acting in bad faith to foment divisions.”

The pontiff’s lengthy interview in Avvenire, the official newspaper of the Italian hierarchy, was published Friday (Nov. 18) and followed days of news coverage of demands by four hard-line cardinals who have grave concerns about Francis’ approach.

The four say that focusing on ministering to people in their particular circumstances is eroding the church’s doctrinal absolutes and that Francis must dispel any ambiguities or face serious consequences.   Continue reading

Retired priest pleads guilty in online dating scam

scam-690x450WORCESTER, Mass. – A retired Roman Catholic priest has pleaded guilty to his role in an international online dating scam.

The Telegram & Gazette reports that Father Thomas Fleming reached a deal with federal authorities in which he agreed to plead guilty to one count of money laundering.

Prosecutors say the 67-year-old Fleming helped orchestrate the scheme for a person who identified himself as a serviceman overseas. Investigators say that person was using a false identity.

Women who responded to the online ads were asked to send money, which prosecutors say moved through two bank accounts belonging to Fleming.   Continue reading

Don’t listen to the ‘prophets of doom,’ Pope Francis insists

19394069f15e1931eca94d858893ca1a-690x450ROME- Pope Francis on Sunday called for the faithful not to be driven by end-times curiosities or apocalyptic preachers, urging them to focus on what is truly important: “The Lord and our neighbor.”

“Those who follow Jesus pay no heed to prophets of doom, the nonsense of horoscopes, or frightening sermons that distract from the truly important things,” Francis said.

It is important, he continued, to distinguish “the word of wisdom that God speaks to us each day” from the shouting of those who use “God’s name to frighten, to nourish division and fear.”

Francis’s words came as he was celebrating Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, in Rome.   Continue reading

Partisan pope? Falwell critiques Pope Francis on Twitter

thmbfallwellfrancis(RNS) The alliance between Roman Catholics and evangelical Protestants on a range of issues dear to social conservatives has been one of the biggest storylines in religion and politics in recent decades.

But in the Age of Pope Francis and the Era of President Trump that union may be fraying.

In a tweet posted Monday night (Nov. 14), Jerry Falwell Jr. — a Baptist and leader of the religious right who was one of Trump’s chief promoters — delivered a pithy and pointed critique of the pontiff.

“Pope Francis lost all credibility when he failed to call out US Left for policies that impoverished inner cities 4 Dem politicalgain,” Falwell tweeted.   Continue reading

Pope Francis urges UN conference to ‘act without delay’ on climate change

The international community has a “serious ethical and moral responsibility to act without delay” in combating climate change, Pope Francis said in a message to COP22, the UN climate conference taking place in Marrakech, Morocco.

In his message, dated November 10 and released November 15, Pope Francis encouraged those taking part in their conference in their work of implementing last year’s Paris climate-change agreement.

Citing the need for “the promotion of lifestyles aimed at favoring sustainable models of production and consumption,” the Pope called for a “culture of protection” of one’s neighbor as well as of creation.
